This is a terraced cottage of flint construction with tiled roof. It is situated in the High Street, next but one to the ‘Two Lifeboats Hotel’ which is on the Promenade and adjoining the beach. The cottage probably dates from the early 1500s, making it among the oldest buildings in the town, all the features in the cottage are original, although the inner fireplace was constructed in Georgian times. There are exposed brick and flint panels showing early building detail and beamed ceilings throughout. Please note that the cottage does not have a garden, but a small stoned area at the rear accessed by French doors from the Kitchen.
Madge has just re opened after extensive refurbishment it now boasts full gas fired central heating with a combination boiler providing instant hot water at any time. Full UPVC double glazed windows making Madge very cozy in the winter. Fitted kitchen.
Upstairs has seen the creation of a family bedroom with washbasin, shaver point and shower along with a double and single bed plus a smaller second bedroom with double bed washbasin and shaver point. The bathroom is found next to bedroom two and contains a bath and toilet.
