BLAKENEY POINT

Having just been to Blakeney myself for the first time I can honestly say it is one of the prettiest places I have visited in recent times.

When the tide goes out it leaves behind a river, which is ideal for children to paddle and swim in and canoes can be hired from the quay.
It is from the quay that you can book a trip with one of the local boats to take you out to Blakeney Point where you can see the seals.

From the quayside you can use crablines to catch ghilly crabs, but they do ask that you do not use hooks.

There is a small selection of shops and a pub and if I recall correctly there was a hotel as well:-)

You can walk out into the marshes and follow a path which takes you right the way along to Cley, the walk didn't seem to long whilst we were doing it but when we took the car back towards Sheringham it was only then we realised quite how far we had actually walked, but the distance didn't seem to matter with the peace and scenery.
