Book one of Jim Temple's boat trips while you are visiting North Norfolk, and see the seals in their natural environment, basking out on Blakeney Point. Jim takes his boat out every day throughout the season (from Easter until the end of October), with the times varying according to the tide.
A timetable is vital to book your trip and organise your day. These you will find at various local Tourist Information Centre's, campsites, pubs, and the Anchor, Morston.

Boats leave from Morston Quay, a National Trust Property, offering plenty of parking and toliet facilities.

Temple's boats are red and white - Morston Ferry, a 26ft purpose built boat, and the Four Sisters, our recently launched, spacious 50 seater. They are both fully licenced and hold full safety equipment to meet the Department of Trade and Industry regulations. All skippers and crew are also fully licenced and trained First Aiders.

You will be taken to see the seals on and around Blakeney Point. The seal colony numbers around 400, with Common Seals out numbering the Grey Seals. They feed on many different types of fish, which the locate with their stiff whiskers. Common seal pups are born between June and August, with Grey seal pups being born between October and December.

When possible, depending on tidal and weather conditions, we will land you on Blakeney Point, owned by the National Trust since 1912. It is an internationally famous breeding and feeding ground for migrant birds, e.g. Little, Common, Sandwich and Artic Terns, and is also home to other species such as Ringed Plover, Oyster Catcher and Shelduck.
The Old lifeboat House is now used as an Information Centre and Cafe, offering Hot and Cold drinkd and snacks.

The seal trip lasts approximately 1 hour. Time spent on Blakney Point is then added extra to this. (duration times of trips are in our timetable)
