The Wyndham serves excellent ales, some are guest beers, some are under the VINTAGE HALLMARK brand (as are some of the spirits) and I must give this brand credit as it offers a really good pint with excellent body and hoppiness....well worth trying the Vintage Hallmark Ale. An excellent pint of Bass is always served.

The staff here are always friendly and welcoming.

The Wyndham has built itself an excellent reputation for food, I have now eaten there and can see why it has built up such a reputation. The portions were generous, the food was piping hot and my steak was cooked to perfection (not many get a blue steak right and the Chef did it superbly) and the staff were great and were not intrusive at all.

The pub has just had a major refurbishment and the decor throughout is modern yet retaining a huge amount of olde worlde character, the lounge has an open fire (I'd suggest sitting to the left or right of it) which throws a a lovely warmth in the dark winter nights.

A room is available for private hire / functions.

If you want a good pub to visit then you will not go far wrong with the Wyndham.
