Sheringham Police Station
Weybourne Road
Sheringham
tel: 01953 424242

During daylight hours the station is usually manned.
Sadly the Police force, like every other public service, is undermanned and under funded which therefore means we don't see as many Bobby's on the beat as we were used to and as we would like to see. However it is pleasing to see that the Police presence in the town actually appears to be on the increase.

Don't be caught out by bogus callers (this text is copied from and is the copyright of Norfolk Police)

Keep the chain on the door

Make sure your back door is locked before opening your front door
Ask for identification.
Make the caller wait outside; closing the door on them whilst you telephone their employer to make sure they are genuine.
Never accept work from cold callers, contact the relevant associations or get recommendations from friends and relatives.
Never leave strangers alone in your property If you are nervous or suspicious of your caller, call the Police or a Friend/Relative/Neighbour or ask the caller to call back at a specific time when you know you will have someone with you.
To those who have elderly relatives or neighbours, PLEASE make sure they are following this security advice.
To arrange a FREE security survey of your property or for ANY advice on Crime Prevention, contact the Crime Prevention Department of your local Police Station.
