BISHOPS BOATS, two of the larger ferries take you on a trip departing from the picturesque Blakeney Harbour or Morston Quay. Trips vary depending on the tides, from approximately 1 hour for seal trips, to 2 hours for seal trips and landing on Blakeney Point.

After winding up the creek, you head to the far point where you can see the seals in their natural habitat (we do not go out to open sea).
The seal colony of upto 500, is made up of common and grey seals, further information on the seals will be given by the experienced crew. Have your cameras ready as the boats are able to get very close to the basking seals.

Then its onto Blakeney Point nature reserve, owned by the National turst. Stroll up to the old lifeboat house, now an Information Centre where refreshments and post cards are available.

Many species of birds can be seen, so its worth bringing binoculars. Hides are located at prime sites just past the Lifeboat house, though most birds can be seen from the boats.

Well behaved dogs are welcome if kept on leads.

For further information, booking or timetables please phone or write to the address shown, email us or alternatively visit our new website www.norfolksealtrips.co.uk, for a quick guided tour and general information (timetables available online).

Booking is always advisable particularly in July, August, September and Christmas (we operate all year round).
Please pick up tickets from Blakeney Quay 30 minutes before sailing time, warm or waterproof clothing is advisable.
BOATS AND CREW ARE LICENSED
BY THE "MARITIME & COASTGUARD AGENCY" AND
CARRY FULL LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT

WEBMASTERS NOTE:

We have been on a trip with Bishops Boats and can honestly say it was a great way to spend a few hours.
The crew were wondeful, cracking jokes and having a laugh and pointing out interesting things as we "boated" along to where we could see the seals.
I was only expecting 1 or 2 passes of the seals but we got more than that and it really added to the value of the trip

My advice with regards to Bishops Boats....make sure you book a trip with them, a treat not to be missed
